Command-line parameters

Home  Previous  Next

AVZ supports command line parameters and profiles (text files containing a set of parameters). Profiles can be used for storing settings and for bypassing command-line restrictions. (In particular, problems can occur when one attempts to use a large number of parameters or folder names with spaces in the command line.)

The default value of main command-line parameters is shown in bold in the list of possible parameter values.

Parameter values are defined as follows:

{} Required line parameter,

[option|option] One of the listed options

All settings accessible via command line parameters are duplicated by interface elements. This allows configuring AVZ settings through the command line without starting the scanning process. In this respect, the use of profiles is the most convenient.

Any parameter can be configured by a control script. Notably, repetitive reconfiguration is allowed in the process of script execution. For details see the description of the SetupAVZ command.
